Cup Capacity The number of cups the machine can hold – key to reducing the times between refilling

Cup Cost The headline cost of each cup excluding cleaning/preparation time etc.

Direct A manufacturer who will directly with the end user – providing machine, drinks and technical support

First Time Fix The measure of on-site repair effectiveness. First time fix records the proportion of technical errors that are solved on the first visit by an engineer

Hybrid A machine that incorporates both an in-cup system and a ground coffee option.

In-Cup A system that has exactly the right quantity of ingredients sealed in the cup – water is added by the machine.

Linking Machine programming that allows multiple stacks of the same drink to be linked to prevent frequent ‘drink not available’ messages appearing.

Mtbf Meantime Between Failure – How manufacturers measure machine reliability.

One touch ordering The facility to order a drink by pressing a single label button, as opposed to entering a code
